Our Team - Nik Cooper
After completing my Business Studies course at College I went to work in the motor industry specialising in corporate fleet and contract hire, but after 6 years I thought I should gain further experience within other roles and industries so I moved south and worked as a recruitment consultant for accountants before moving into field sales roles for Material Handling Equipment, LPG Autogas, Vehicle Rental and finally Asset Finance for one of the large banks.
Although these were varied industries they gave me great experience of dealing with different client needs and objectives, plus enhanced my business skills making me successful in every role I had.
All of this brought me to where I am today, my long term goal was to start a finance brokerage which could service clients large and small but all with the same courtesy and professionalism to be expected of a financial services company.
Since the beginning we have made improved changes and will continue to make changes as this industry never stays still, and that is what I enjoy about working at NBF, the ability react to the market and clients requirements to keep the company fresh and our clients choice funder.

We started NBF when I was 19 years old, it was a daunting yet exciting time for me, but having worked for a multi-million company before it gave me a great grounding for the responsibilities and hard work required to start our new company.
Since the beginning, I have learnt and implemented much and I always look at ways and products that will help to grow NBF, which will benefit our clients.
The world of finance is an ever changing industry and I welcome the challenges it brings, especially during a tough economic climate where we have continued to successfully source credit lines for our clients.
My job has taken on a new meaning now since the birth of my son last year, this has created an even bigger desire to make NBF successful.
I enjoy having my own company - I feel I understand customer’s requirements, and discuss business issues/ideas sincerely.
Outside of work, I love family time, music, cooking and travel.
I look forward to the future - helping more clients grow their business, make further relationships with clients and suppliers, and continue to run NBF successfully.
